SEO Tools You Can UseThis page lists some of the popular tools that can be used to assess how well or unwell your sites are doing. These tools are for guidance only and do not reflect the absolute status or state of any site. Each tool has its uses and limitations. They are presented here as a general guide only. Please don't email me telling me they were not accurate because your site was predicted to go to PR4 and it only went to PR2. That is just the wonderful life of webmastering.
Dig Pagerank is a tool you can use to verify google pagerank in literally hundreds of datacenters. The public data centers are always 2 to 3 months out of date but they do give you an indication of what the site's PR status was in the recent past.
This Page Strength tool can give you an indication of the relative reach and visibility of a website. Its similar to pagerank but it takes many factors into account besides inlinks. Its recently become a paid tool at $40 per month and the results are not that spectacular.
Backlink Watch will allow you to view the inlinks to a particular page and also display information about the backlink. You will see the PR of the inlink as well as information concerning nofollow tags. Its quite a nice tool albeit a bit slow to populate.
Verify Pagerank is a nice little tool you can use to verify that a webpage's PR os actually valid. Unfortunately there are ways to fake pagerank and some people try to capitalize on link sales because of it.
Pagerank Prediction is never perfect but if you are interested in what your PR "might" be then you can use this tool.
Google PageRank Table can give you an indication of how many inlinks and the PR value of each you will require to obtain a specefic pagerank on your site. Again, this is not a perfect metric so just use it as a rough guide.
Visual Pagerank Checker will show you the PR of all the links on any single page. Simply enter a url and get a very nice look at all the linked PR. Very handy tool indeed.
Search Status is a nice little firefox extension that will allow you to quickly do a whois on any site, check both the internal and external links on a webpage, as well as lots of other neat features. One of the very best things about this tool is that you can set it to highlight nofollow links so you dont have to check the pagesource manually.
If you would like to check your site for broken links without actually having to manually click each and every link then you might want to try this dead link checker site. Its basic and to the point and thats exactly what I link about it.
A new pagerank tool that checks for PR in up to 300 datacenters with one click... Nice...
